X-Men: The Last Stand
Just watched this movie earlier today. This is my review according to the short review format.
Good:
+ Superb battle action and usage of mutant powers
+ Excellent story and potrayal of characters’ emotions, that death scene was sad…
+ ELLEN PAGE IS CUTE OMGOMGOMG!!!!! (don’t you dare date her, you damn Ben Foster!)
+ The “teasers” they give in the ending and after the credits are DAMN TEASING!!!
Bad:
– Too many characters
– Most of the characters are underused like Angel, Cyclops and Rogue, even Prof. X!
– Conclusive battle is.. not good enough, you’ll end up wanting more!
– Lack of continuity, it will be hard to make a sequel with the story they made for this.
– Huh? The ending is juz like that? Why are you starin’ off into space for, man?
– AAAARGHHH! Logan’s X-Men costume sucks big time! Let him use his casual gear!!!
– I want more Sentinels……. I want Gambit…….
– This movie is too short for a “last stand”. Make it longer dammit, gimme more action!
Verdict:
Do you realize that some of the characters are called using their real names instead, when it’s easier to use that name? Logan is never called Wolverine, Bobby is never called Iceman, Kitty is never called Shadowcat, Scott is never called Cyclops (except in the chair in the airplane where Kitty sits in, there’s the Cyclops tag if you notice).
Verdict:
A very good movie overall, I don’t see why this is worse than X-Men or X-2, but the best way to describe the movie is “good but annoying”. Yes it’s annoying, if you see it you’ll know what I mean. But it’s good action, good show that will left you wanting more. Best movie in this year so far, beating M:I:III to crap. And did I tell you Ellen Page is cute?

Ergh…. I just can’t stand Logan’s X-Men costume. And it was funny when the clothes was torn apart, but the bottom part remains intact. Just when my friend was going to say “oooh… naked Logan!”. It would be fun if THAT really happens and “that person” saw it, shocked and faint. A great won for Logan it would be! Hahahaha! I still feel that the movie isn’t all that though, Phoenix vs Logan should be made longer. Doh for all the godly superpowered strongest mutant in the X-Men Universe, it doesn’t do her justice to use her only this much in the movie! But still I have to applaud Ratner for a job very well done in this move. I enjoyed watching it.
Not sure if there would be X-4, but Magneto and Wolverine spin-offs are in progress.
